How to Mail Your Memories Safely

Sending your irreplaceable tapes and films in the mail is easy and secure. At Digital Media Now, we receive orders from all over Australia every day. Follow these simple steps to ensure your media arrives at our Tamworth lab safely.

1. Generate Your Packing Slip

Before you post, please complete our Self-Service Quote Form. This ensures we have all your contact details and a clear list of your media.

Please print the confirmation email you receive after submitting the form and place it inside your satchel or box. If you don’t have a printer, simply write your Order Number and Name on a piece of paper and include it with your tapes.

2. Packing Your Media

You don’t need a bulky box—most customers use Australia Post Flat Rate Satchels. The secret to a safe arrival is the “inner wrap.”

  • The Waterproof Layer: Place your tapes or photos in a Ziploc bag or wrap them in plastic. This protects against moisture during transit.
  • The Cushion: Wrap your media in 2-3 layers of bubble wrap. If sending multiple tapes, bundle them together so they don’t slide around.
  • The Exterior: Use a ‘Tough’ or padded Australia Post satchel, or a sturdy cardboard box for larger collections.

Our Return Shipping Policy:

To ensure your original media is returned safely, we follow a simple rule: If you send your media in a box, we will ship it back to you in that same box. For all other orders, we return your items securely packed in Australia Post Flat Rate Satchels.

3. Shipping to the Lab

We recommend using Australia Post Flat Rate Satchels (Standard Parcel Post). All flat rate parcels now include tracking as standard, providing a cost-effective and secure way to send your media.

Important: We recommend requesting “Signature on Delivery” at the Post Office. This ensures your memories are handed directly to Dave Collins or our staff and never left unattended.

4. Arrival & Notification

Keep your receipt! You can email your tracking number to admin@digitalmedianow.com.au so we know to look out for your package.
